Cheyenne Mayor-Elect Marian Orr went back down to her de facto campaign headquarters on Wednesday morning to celebrate her decisive 56 – 43 percent win in the general election for Cheyenne mayor.
Orr visited The Diamond Horseshoe — the restaurant in Cheyenne where she held more than 100 “Coffee and Conversations” during her successful mayoral campaign.
“This is home for me,” Orr said. “I launched my campaign here by showing up every morning at 7am just to listen to people. Early on, I was down here by myself. But as the campaign moved along, people started showing up and telling me their concerns, their ideas, and their solutions.”
“I will never be able to thank the employees who work here enough,” she said. “They welcomed me here and we all became good friends. As I mentioned last night in my victory speech, this will be my second office and I look forward to continuing to talk to the people of Cheyenne here.”
